About Us:

Our informal group started walking in April 2001 with four Westies from Fort Victoria RV Park. That day it rained but we went regardless.

Since then we have grown considerably. We had 65 Westies attend in 2004, 78 Westies in 2005, 92 Westies in 2006, 103 in 2007 and 126 in 2008. CH TV News and CHEK TV News have covered the Victoria Westie Walk event at different times over the years on their 5 PM news.

The walk is very casual which everyone seems to enjoy. Angus our Scottish bagpiper for 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010 pipes us to the park where the dogs can run free and have a romp while the owners get a chance to socialize.

Several local businesses have sponsored us with donations that we use in our Free draw.
